How to Vet a Chinese Ad Account Supplier Before You Shortlist One

Short answer: Check the supplier's legal identity, explainable account arrangement, payment instructions and support process before comparing headline prices. A Chinese supplier is a location-based choice, not proof of platform authorization, account quality or better campaign results.

Searching for “China agency ad accounts” can put very different businesses on the same shortlist: a media agency, an intermediary and a seller of login credentials. Start by asking what you are actually buying. A permitted agency service should be explainable without vague promises about “special” accounts.

First, separate supplier location from audience location

A China-based advertising resource provider may support campaigns aimed at overseas audiences. That is different from buying ads on Chinese domestic platforms. Tell each candidate the platform you want, the countries you target and the entity that will advertise. Otherwise, you may receive a quote for the wrong service.

Ask for evidence you can cross-check

Use a simple shortlist record

For each supplier, record four fields: claim, evidence received, independent check and unresolved question. For example, if a supplier says “direct platform relationship,” record the exact entity named and the confirmation route. Until that check is complete, mark it unverified, rather than assuming the claim is true or false.

Keep an example quote and a sample invoice beside that record. Ask for redacted samples; you do not need another advertiser's account number, campaign data or personal information to assess the paperwork.

What should remove a candidate from the shortlist?

Pause when a supplier cannot explain its account permissions, asks you to use another company's identity, promises policy immunity, or presses you to pay before providing terms. A low price does not solve those problems. Do not use agency access to work around an account restriction; use the platform's review process where applicable.

A delayed answer is different from a contradictory answer. Give the supplier a short list of missing documents. If its contract, invoice and payment instructions still describe different unexplained entities, your finance team has no clear transaction to approve.

Questions overseas buyers ask

Does a Hong Kong invoice prove a direct relationship with a platform?

No. It identifies an invoicing entity. Verify the service chain separately.

Can a supplier promise that an account will never be restricted?

Treat that promise as a reason to investigate. Platform review and campaign performance are not established by supplier location.
